CONWAY, S.C. – Troy volleyball was defeated in straight sets by defending Sun Belt champion Coastal Carolina Friday night.

The Trojans (10-14, 4-7) lost a conference road match for the first time in over a month (Sept. 22) – a four-game stretch. The Chanticleers (8-11, 7-4) dominated the match from the jump, winning 25-17, 25-19 and 25-16 in the three sets.

Senior Logan Page was a bright spot for Troy, throwing down nine kills and posting a .533 attacking percentage; Belle Waldrop trailed close behind with eight kills of her own. Freshman phenom Amara Anderson recorded yet another double-double – her 14^th of the season – with 26 assists and 11 digs in the match.

Coastal's Anett Nemeth was outstanding, leading all players with 11 kills while also recording eight digs and eight assists. As a team, the Chants hit at .320 percent and tallied 12 total blocks.
