Christopher Tasker Shines On the First Day of the Invitational

Chattanooga, Tenn.- The Trojans faced University of North Carolina Asheville in the first round of Steve Baras Invitational Friday; Junior Christopher Tasker was the lone victor in the singles play at the fourth seed.
Freshman Luis Foix made his debut as a one-seed, but was topped by Oli Nolan from UNC Asheville, 6-0, 6-2. The only Trojan who was able to pull off a singles win was Christopher Tasker. He defeated Leo Berbaumat in two consecutive sets, 6-3, 7-5.
In doubles play two of the Trojan duos were very close to clinch a win. However, Trey Whittaker and Luis Foix could not find the approach to Ed Colclough and Oli Nolan and lost 7-5. At the third spot, Ignacio Rodriguez and Shaaz Peerani were beat by Finlay McFadyen and Charlie Morkelwith the same score, 7-5.
