Women’s Golf Slips on Day Two of Palmetto Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Troy women's golf team fell six spots into a tie for 12thplace following Monday's second round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Turtle Point Golf Course. However, the Trojans are just seven shots back of sixth on a congested leaderboard.
Sarah Harrison led the Trojans with a 4-over 76 as she carded three birdies on the day. She was even par through 17 holes but suffered some bad luck with a quad-bogey on the par-4 18th. She is tied for 22nd place overall at 5-over for the tournament.
Nicole Lorup is two shots back of her teammate in a tie for 30th place following a round of 78 on Monday. She started strong with two birdies over her first five holes before settling at even par at the turn; Lorup played the back nine at 6-over to finish 7-over through 36 holes.
No. 35 College of Charleston holds a 9-shot advantage over Kansas while No. 34 Campbell is 10 shots behind the Cougars in third place.
Bianca Lohbauer closed strong with a 37 on the back nine as she carded a pair of birdies to finish the day at 6-over and the first two rounds at 10-over, good for a tie for 46th place. Anna Claire Little is tied for 56th after shooting 7-over on the day and Lindsey Harrison is tied for 76th following a second-round 80.
Teams are set for a shotgun start to close out play beginning at 8 a.m. (CT). Troy will hit the course with Jacksonville State and Marshall on holes 10 thru 12.
