Troy Volleyball Set to Host UAB

TROY, Alabama- After winning the Troy Invitational, Troy volleyball gets set to host in-state foe UAB on Tuesday. The match is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Trojan Arena and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Troy (2-5) went 2-1 on the weekend as it hosted the Troy Invitational. The Trojans fell to Northwestern State on Friday, but bounced back on Saturday to defeat Winthrop and Jackson State to take the tournament title.
Sophomores Savannah Moore, Logan Page and senior Lauren Long led the offense with a combined 87 kills and 100 points to power the Trojans over the Eagles and the Lady Tigers. Page also added nine blocks at the net.
UAB (3-4) travels to Troy following a 3-0 sweep of Western Illinois. Senior Haley Jared has had a stellar senior season thus far with 103 kills (3.81 kills/set) and 112.5 points in seven matches played. She has also recorded five double-doubles on the season.
