TROY, Alabama – Troy's game at No. 23 LSU on Saturday, Sept. 30, in Tiger Stadium is slated for a 6 p.m. kickoff on ESPNU, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday morning.
Â
This will be the third meeting between the two schools with the last coming in 2008. Troy has held fourth quarter leads over LSU in each of the first two games; however, the Tigers were able to pull out narrow victories in both games and won by a combined 13 points – 24-20 in 2004 and 40-31 in 2008.
Â
The ESPNU broadcast marks at least four nationally televised games for the Trojans this season. Troy's season opener at Boise State was also televised on ESPNU, while future games against South Alabama (ESPN2) and Idaho (ESPNU) will be broadcast to a national audience.
Â
Troy returns to The Vet on Saturday for Military Appreciation Day against Akron. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. but fans are encouraged to get to the game early for an F-16 flyover and a field-length American flag.
