Baseball Summer League Update: Six Trojans Named All-Stars

TROY, Alabama – Six Trojan baseball players were selected to the Florida Collegiate Summer League All-Star Game and several others are excelling in their respective summer leagues as we reach the midpoint of the summer.

Jimmy Robbins, Rigsby Mosley, Chase Smartt and Drew Frederic, as well as Troy signees Sadler Goodwin and C.J. Carter are set to compete in the FCSL All-Star Game in Sanford, Fla., on Saturday.

"College players receive great benefit from summer competition and is critical for their player development," Troy head coach Mark Smartt said. "It's great to see our players compete well in the summer leagues around the country. I am always interested in seeing the improvement each player makes when they return to our program in the fall."

Overall this summer, Troy sent 14 Trojans to compete on seven different clubs in five summer leagues across the country. Below is a brief update on each of the 14 players and their performance so far this summer.
