Named Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year and was selected to the All-Sun Belt First Team … Also an ABCA Second Team All-South Central Region selection … Set a school and conference record with 40 consecutive scoreless innings; not allowing a run from March 31 to May 26 … Finished fourth nationally and led the league with a 1.47 ERA … Ranked 22nd in the nation and third in the Sun Belt with a 0.96 WHIP … Finished third in the Sun Belt in hits allowed per nine innings (6.31) and fifth in strikeout to walk ratio (3.75) … Led the team in strikeouts (60), opposing batting average (.194), wins (6) and earned runs allowed (10) … In his second career start, worked 8.1 innings of scoreless, three-hit work against Georgia Southern; striking out seven batters … Fanned 42 batters and allowed only 19 hits over the seven-game stretch that made up his record-setting streak
