Troy Football Letterwinners Day Set for Home Opener on Sept. 9

TROY, Alabama – Troy Athletics is welcoming back all former football letterwinners for the home opener on Sept. 9 for Football Letterwinners Day at The Vet. Additionally, Troy will honor the 1987 NCAA Division II National Championship team and the 2007 Sun Belt Championship team throughout the weekend.

Returning football letterwinners and their families will be treated to a private reception Friday evening and will receive up to four tickets in a special section in The Vet to watch Troy take on Alabama State.

Gameday will present returning football letterwinners a chance to relive some experiences from their playing days as they will enjoy a pregame tailgate and cookout, participate in Trojan Walk and take photos on the field prior to the game.
Â
Troy will recognize all the football letterwinners with an on-field presentation during the game and each registered returning football letterwinner will receive a commemorative hat.
