TROY, Alabama – Troy starting pitcher Andrew Crane was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings South Central All-Region Second Team, the ABCA announced Wednesday.

Crane, a native of Pascagoula, Miss., set a school and Sun Belt Conference record when he pitched 40 consecutive scoreless innings over the course of nearly two months – March 31-May 26. At the conclusion of the regular season, his earned-run average dipped down to 0.93, which was the second best in the nation at the time, before finishing the year ranked first in the league and fourth nationally with a 1.47 ERA.

In May, Andrew was named Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year and was a first-team All-Sun Belt selection. Crane is the first Trojan to receive All-Region honors since Logan Hill was selected to the first team in 2015.
