Women’s Golf Drops Pair of Matches at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Georgia – Playing against two of the top teams in the nation, the Troy women's golf team dropped a pair of 3-2 matches to No. 11 South Carolina and No. 22 Purdue in the match play portion of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic Saturday at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
Fátima Fernandez Cano picked up a 2-and-1 victory and Gabi Oubre' took home a 3-up through 15 holes victory in Troy's match against No. 11 South Carolina, while Bianca Lohbauer won 7-and-5 and Becca Horner won 1-up in the Trojans' match against No. 22 Purdue.
Troy will wrap up play at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classisc on Sunday when the Trojans take on No. 59 Old Dominion beginning at 8:20 a.m. (CT).
