Women's Golf Moves to Match Play at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Georgia – Troy turned in a 12^th place finish in the stroke play portion of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course on Friday. The Trojans head to the Black Bracket where they will take on Purdue in the opening round of match play on Saturday.

Sophomore Bianca Lohbauer carded one of Troy's five birdies on the day and shot an 8-over 80 to finish stroke play in a tie for 33^rd place. Fátima Fernandez Cano picked up two birdies en route to a tie for 38^th place with a 9-over 81. Gabi Oubre' had one birdie and carded a 10-over 82, while Bria Jansen had a birdie with a 13-over 85 and Becca Horner shot 17-over.

Troy's match against No. 22 Purdue will get underway at 8:20 am (CT) and the Trojans will then turnaround and play No. 11 South Carolina in match play beginning at 1:20 (CT). Troy will wrap the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic with a match against No. 59 Old Dominion on Sunday at 8:20 (CT).

Host Georgia locked down the top seed in the Red Bracket, while Alabama, Denver and Arkansas rounded out the top four.
