Women’s Tennis Falls in Regular Season Finale

MOBILE, Alabama- The Troy women's tennis team (7-14) wrapped up its regular season in Mobile as the Trojans faced South Alabama on Sunday. South Alabama (19-4) defeated the Trojans 4-0 on the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.

South gained the momentum early as they swept the Trojans on the doubles courts to take the first point of the match.

Player of the Week Sanae Ohta fell on court one as Alexandria Stiteler defeated Ohta 6-2, 6-1. Ohta finishes the regular season with a 9-11 record as the one seeded player for the Trojans. The Jaguars ended the match with wins on courts four and three to shut out the Trojans.

UP NEXT:
The Trojans will travel to New Orleans, La., to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Thursday, April 20 through Sunday, April 23, 2017. Match times and sedding will be announced a a later time.
