MACON, Georgia – Paced by top-20 finishes from Bianca Lohbauer and Fátima Fernández Cano, the Troy women's golf team finished eighth at the Brickyard Collegiate in its final tune up before the Sun Belt Conference Championship.

Lohbauer tied for 11^th place with a 4-over 220 after a pair of 3-over rounds and a 2-under 70 in the second round. She sank a trio of birdies in her final round and finished the event with eight birdies, good for a top-12 finish in the field.

Cano shot even par for the second straight round to finish tied for 17^th place overall. Troy's senior leader had three birdies on the day, two coming on par 5 holes – she entered the week 29^th nationally with a 4.76 average on par 5 holes.

Becca Horner finished tied for 24^th place after carding a 6-over on Tuesday. Playing as an individual, Lindsey Harrison tied for 37^th place after shooting 4-over on the day with a pair of birdies. Bria Jansen tied for 62^nd place following a final round 9-over, while Gabi Oubre' tied for 65^th place after shooting 5-over on the day.

No. 9 Furman defeated No. 21 Texas A&M and Augusta by four shots to claim the team championship. Troy picked up victories over Maryland, Chattanooga and Middle Tennessee, among others, in the event.

Troy now heads to the Fighting Joe Course in Muscle Shoals, Ala., for the Sun Belt Conference Championship which takes place next Monday through Wednesday. The Trojans finished second at last year's event after winning the league title each of the previous two seasons. Currently, Troy is the third ranked team in the league at 89^th nationally behind No. 76 Coastal Carolina and No. 88 Texas State.
