Student Appreciation Day Set for Friday at The Vet

TROY, Alabama – Troy University students will have an opportunity to compete against each other and Troy football players among the many activities surrounding Student Appreciation Day in Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday.

Gates to the stadium will open at 3 p.m. and there will be free pizza for the first 100 students in attendance. Competitions, which are set to begin at 4 p.m., for students will take place throughout practice including a 40-yard dash, field goal kicking competition, and more. Students will have an opportunity to win great prizes as well as enter a raffle for other items including game-worn jerseys signed by Neal Brown, free burgers from Hardee's for a year, and free oil changes from Troy Nissan.

"Students are excited to come out Friday to show support for our football team and have the opportunity to win Trojan gear," Troy SGA President Olivia Melton said. "This year, our athletics teams have created a new level of Trojan Pride and we can't wait to see what is in store for next year."
