Women’s Golf Finishes 10, Cano Ties for Fourth at Henssler Intercollegiate

Final Results
KENNESAW, Georgia –Fátima Fernández Cano carded three birdies and shot a 1-over 73 in Tuesday's final round of the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate at the Pinetree Country Club. Cano tied for fourth place overall, while Troy moved up a spot into 10th place in a field that featured 12 top-100 teams.
No. 91 Troy tied for second in the field with 176 pars over the three rounds, while Cano led the field as she played the par 5s at 4-under for the tournament. Cano's nine birdies were tied for the seventh most in the field, while Bianca Lohbauer was close behind with six birdies over her 54 holes.
Cano shot 1-under for the tournament which is her second-best score of the year and landed her in the top 10 for the fourth time in seven events. Lohbauer shot 3-over on the day and 6-over for the event which landed her in a tie for 18th place; her second straight top-20 finish.
Gabi Oubre' carded two birdies on the front nine en route to shooting a 5-over on the day; she tied for 44th place overall at 12-over. Becca Horner ended her week with a 6-over 78 and a 75th-place finish, while Bria Jansen finished 79th after shooting 10-over on the day. Playing as an individual, Lindsey Harrison shot 9-over on the day and tied for 76th place.
No. 13 Kent State won the team title by one shot over No. 24 Purdue, while No. 35 Texas Tech, No. 27 Illinois and No. 45 Augusta rounded out the top five. Troy shot 15-over on the day and finished just seven shots back of sixth place.
The Trojans will have a short break before heading to the Liz Murphey Collegiate hosted by Georgia on April 7-9.
