Troy Faces Two Key Matches On Saturday

TROY, Alabama – With the regular season wrapping up, Troy men's tennis will host the second-to-last home weekend of the season with matches against on Georgia Southern and ABAC on Saturday.
The Georgia Southern match at 11 a.m. will be a key conference showdown prior to the Sun Belt Championships coming up next month while ABAC will potentially give the Trojans (8-9) a chance to climb back over .500 in the second game of the day.
Troy has had a season of streaks thus far as after starting 2-1 the Trojans lost five-straight before rattling off six consecutive wins. That stretch has since been snapped by the current three-match losing streak.
Pablo Moreno and Amer Bedwan are currently tied at 18 wins in the quest to become the first on the team with 20 wins. Moreno is 18-10 while Bedwan started his dual match career at 10-0 before dropping three of the past four to sit at 18-8.
Georgia Southern has had a similar season of streaks after losing three of the past four matches to get to 15-8 on the year. ABAC had a promising 2-1 start to the season but has since dropped the past seven to fall to 2-8.
NOTEWORTHY
• Andy Lau and Pablo Moreno have been stellar in doubles play with a 13-4 record including 8-2 in the past 10.
• Andy Lau, Filip Mansson and Pablo Moreno all have six wins in the past 10 matches.
