Troy Unable To Overcome Alabama On The Road

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Against an Alabama team that had lost nine of the past 10, Troy was unable to get into a rhythm in falling 4-1 to the Crimson Tide on Sunday evening.
The lone point on the day came from Jiaqi Duan, who topped Langford Hills 7-6, 6-2. Hassan Ndayishimiye and Pablo Moreno prevailed 6-3 in doubles, but the Trojans dropped the other two matches to lose the doubles point.
Moreno was in the third set of his match when Alabama (8-11) won the match. Andy Lau also had his match cut short after he won the first set 3-6 and was tied 6-6 in the second. No. 103 singles player Thibault Cancel defeated Ndayishimiye 6-2, 6-1.
NOTEWORTHY
• The 4-1 loss is the same score the Trojans have had in the past three matches after winning six in a row.
• Amer Bedwan has lost three of the past four after starting his dual match career 10-0.
