GAINESVILLE, Florida – Gabi Oubre' fired a 7-over 147 over the opening two rounds of the Gator Invitational on Saturday at the Mark Bostick Golf Course to lead the Troy women's golf team; the Trojans are in 10th place following 36 holes.
Oubre' opened with a 3-over 73 in the opening round and followed with a 4-over 74 in the second round; she carded a birdie and an eagle in her second round. She will enter Sunday's final round tied for 17th place.
Bianca Lohbauer had a pair of birdies on the day and finished tied for 30th place with a 150, while Becca Horner is tied for 55th place after shooting a 154 with one birdie on the day. Fátima Fernández Cano is tied for 59th place following a 155, while Bria Jansen is in 75th place with a 163.
No. 6 Florida will carry a seven-shot lead over Duke into the final round, while No. 25 Central Florida is 14 shots back.
Troy will be paired with Kansas and Mercer for Sunday's final round that gets underway at 7:15 a.m.
