Troy Hosts App State in Play4Kay Game

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's basketball team looks continue its home court success as it plays host to Appalachian State on Thursday in Trojan Arena; tipoff is set for 6 p.m. The game will be the first of two Play4Kay games as Troy looks to raise awareness of breast cancer and take donations for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

In addition to wearing pink uniforms during the game, the Trojans will sell pink T-shirts for $10 at the doors of Trojan Arena. Troy is 7-2 on its home floor this season.

Troy (16-7, 9-3 SBC) split two games during the Louisiana road trip last week defeating ULM, 94-67, before falling to UL Lafayette, 80-72, on Saturday. The Trojans pulled within one of ULL in the third quarter but a 22-7 run by the Ragin' Cajuns put the game out of reach.

The Trojans are forcing 22.1 turnovers per game – the best mark in the Sun Belt Conference and sixth best in the nation – and are grabbing 10.7 steals per game, which stands second in the league.
