Women's Tennis Drops Match at USF

TAMPA, Fla. - The Troy women's tennis team fell to South Florida 6-1 on Sunday at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts in Tampa, Fla.

In doubles, the Bulls won all three matches earning the first point of the day.

In singles competition, Nancy Karaky won her second match of the year after the Bulls player retired the match. Hannah Seizer took her match to three sets, but ultimately fell 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-4). Jiayuan Xue's match also came down to a third set decision. Down in the first set, Xue came back to win the second set 6-4, but Xue fell to Juliana Cardoso 6-1, 4-6, 6-0.

Troy moves to 0-5 on the season. They will face No. 14 Auburn on Tuesday, February 14, at the Auburn Tennis Center. Matches are set to begin at noon.
