Troy Hosts North Florida In First Home Match

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's tennis team will have the first home match of the season this year with a matchup against North Florida on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
It will be the first match in a little more than a week for the Trojans (2-5). The last outings for Troy were away matches in Florida against Miami and FAU. Troy fell in both of those contests and has lost four in a row after starting the season 2-1.
Though the record has not indicated it, Troy has seen great success out of individuals on the team. Amer Bedwan, a true freshman, is a perfect 5-0 in dual match play on the season.
North Florida has not fared much better to start the season, as the Ospreys are 3-4 on the year. The most recent outing was a 2-4 defeat to Tulane in New Orleans.
NOTEWORTHY
• Bedwan is 13-5 on the year including the perfect 5-0 in dual match play.
• It has also been a successful senior year for Andre Baldo, who is 15-7 on the year but 0-2 in dual play.
• Pablo Moreno and Andy Lau have continued their successful doubles pairing from years past as the two are 10-4 this season in doubles play.
