TROY, Alabama – Troy is set to take part in the 22^nd Tulane Classic on Thursday and Friday as the team opens with a 2:30 p.m. matchup with the host Green Wave. Troy will face either Samford or UTEP on Friday.

Troy (5-4) is coming off consecutive road losses to Middle Tennessee and Samford, the latter in which the Trojans saw a 21-point lead evaporate as Samford shot 12-of-16 from the field and 5-for-6 from 3-point range over the final 10 minutes.

Amber Rivers has been solid for Troy averaging 11.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game over the last three contests. Rivers scored a team-high 15 points on Sunday against the Bulldogs.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Tulane (6-5) has won three of its four game at home this season including a 62-44 victory over Middle Tennessee on Sunday. The Green Wave are in the midst of a five-game homestand and will not hit the road again until Dec. 31.

Senior guard Kolby Morgan is currently the seventh-leading scorer in the country averaging 20.9 points per game. Harlyn Wyatt leads the squad in rebounding averaging 6.9 per game.

NOTEWORTHY
• Troy will play eight of its 11 non-conference game away from Trojan Arena. The Trojans close the non-league slate with four straight road/neutral site games.

• Troy is eighth in nation averaging 89.4 points per game. The Trojans entered their game against Middle Tennessee as the nation's top scoring team with 94.0 points per game.

• Chanda Rigby's teams have scored 80-plus points 79 times in her six years, something Troy did just seven times in the previous four seasons.
