Trojans Set for Last Road Contests of the Season

TROY, Alabama- Following a big conference win over Little Rock, the Trojans (9-16, 3-7 SBC) will make a long trip out east to face Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State in its final away matches of the season. Troy will face the Chanticleers on Friday at 5:30 p.m., and will wrap up road play against the Mountaineers on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

Sophomore Savannah Moore and Logan Page look to bring their momentum on the road as they each led the team with 13 kills in Troy's win over Little Rock last weekend. Moore powered the offense with a Sun Belt season-high .750 hitting percentage.

ABOUT APPALACHIAN STATE
The Mountaineers enter the weekend after sweeping ULM on the road. Appalachian State is led by Melissa McMath with 302 kills on the season. The defense is led by Olivia Loeffler with 411 digs. Troy is 2-5 all-time against the Mountaineers. The teams' last meeting was in 2016 when the Trojans defeated Appalachian State 3-2 at the Trojan Arena.

NOTEWORTHY

Troy is third in the conference in service aces with 123 total aces and 1.34 aces per set. Kiara Barrett leads the team with 28, followed by Cheyenne Hayes with 26.
Moore now has 12 games this season with a .300 hitting percentage or higher and eight games with double-digit kills.
Belle Waldrop, Page, Moore and Hayes have played in every set for the Trojans this season.
The Trojans look to improve their 1-8 away record on the road this weekend.
Waldrop paces the team with 218 kills this season (2.37 kills/set).

UP NEXT
Troy will return home to wrap-up the season with a four-game home stretch. The Trojans will take on ULM and UL Lafayette for Alumni Weekend on November 3-4 and will close out the season as it hosts Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina
