TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's golf team returns to a familiar site this weekend as the Trojans travel to Kiawah Island, S.C., for the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the 5,981-yard Turtle Point Golf Course. Teams will play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The Trojans enter their third tournament of the season looking for consistency up and down their lineup. Troy has fired a pair of quality rounds as a team this season with a 3-over 291 in the opening USA Intercollegiate and a 6-over 294 at the Magnolia Invitational, now the next step is to put consecutive rounds together in the same tournament.
First-year head coach Randy Keck will turn to the same lineup for the second straight event led by a trio of golfers with stroke averages under 76 for the year. Junior college All-American Sarah Harrison leads the Trojans with a 74.50 average on the season and is one of two Troy golfers to have every round count towards the team card.
Troy's top returner Bianca Lohbauer is looking to bounce back from a tough Magnolia Invitational after a strong 1-under 217 in the opening event of the year. Lohbauer enters the Palmetto Intercollegiate with a 75.5 average on the year, just ahead of freshman Eva Fabricius-Bjerre's 75.83 mark. All six of Fabricius-Bjerre's rounds have counted towards Troy's card this season.
Juniors Lindsey Harrison and Antonia Poate will also get the call for the Trojans. Lindsey Harrison finished strong at the Magnolia Invitational with a 2-over 74 in the final round, while Poate carded a 2-over 74 in the second round; the pair tied for 52nd overall in the event.

Quotable – Troy Head Coach Randy Keck
"We've had by far the best week of practice this week that we've had all season. We finally had a chance to slow down a little bit and focus on some specific things. We're excited to get back out there and it's always fun to play in a tournament we're you're playing well, and I think we're playing some decent golf right now.
"This is going to be a good test of golf. Anytime you play at Kiawah you have the chance for the wind to blow pretty good and you never really know what you're going to get. The greens are good and I think it's a little bit more of a putters' golf course because you are going to have some longer putts. We have played their quite a bit so hopefully that is an advantage for us going in."
