Women’s Golf Solid on Day Two of Magnolia Invitational

WEST POINT, Mississippi – The Troy women's golf team rebounded from a tough opening round to fire a 6-over 294 in Monday's second round of the Magnolia Invitational at the West Point Golf Course.
It was the sixth-best round among the field and was a 27-shot improvement from Sunday's opening round. Sarah Harrison is Troy's leader in the clubhouse in a tie for 32nd place after shooting even par on the day. She made the turn at 2-under with birdies on two of her first three holes and added a third on No. 8 to finish with a 72 on the day.
Eva Fabricius-Bjerre carded Troy's second eagle of the tournament with a three on the par-5, ninth. The Trojan freshman made three birdies over her first seven holes and shot a 1-over 73 on the day to move into a tie for 42nd place.
Bianca Lohbauer and Antonia Poate are tied for 53rd place after shooting a 74 and 75, respectively, on Monday. Lohbauer carded five birdies during her round while Poate carded three birdies, all on the back nine. Lindsey Harrison sits in 60th position after shooting a 6-over on the day; she finished strong playing the back nine to the tune of 1-under par.
Ole Miss leads the 10-team field by 12 shots with Tennessee, Memphis, Mississippi State and Auburn rounding out the top five. Teams will play a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. for Tuesday's final round.
