Women's Golf Opens Play at Magnolia Invitational

WEST POINT, Mississippi – The Troy women's golf team opened play at the Magnolia Invitational on Sunday at the Old Waverly Golf Club. The Trojans shot 33-over 321 on the day and sit in 10^th place.

Sarah Harrison is tied for 47^th place overall and led the Trojans in the opening round with a 7-over 79 after carding four birdies and an eagle. She opened with three birdies over her first four holes and eagled the par-5 ninth to make the turn at even par.

Eva Fabricius-Bjerre carded one birdie on the day and is tied for 52^nd place at 8-over, while Lindsey Harrison and Biance Lohbauer are tied for 55^th place at 9-over. Antonia Poate shot a 10-over 82 and is tied for 60^th place.

The entire 10-team field finished last season ranked among the top 90 in the final Golfstat rankings. Ole Miss shot 10-under and leads the pack followed by Tennessee at 1-under, while Memphis and Auburn are tied for third at 3-over.

Troy will once again play with the individuals during the second round which opens at 8:40 a.m. on the 10^th hole.
