Troy Volleyball Takes Win Streak to UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – The Troy volleyball team looks to extend its three-match win streak to four when they travel to Birmingham, Ala., for a matchup with UAB on Tuesday night at Bartow Arena. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
Troy (6-4) is coming off a three-match win weekend at the ISTAP Collegiate Cup Invitational following wins over Alabama State, Chicago State and Savannah State all in four sets.
NOTEWORTHY
• Sara Landis has been on a tear lately and now leads the team with 89 kills along with 2.62 kills per set.
• Reina Terry has 8.03 assists per set and has 265 assists this season.
• Jordyn Saulsberry is having a breakout sophomore campaign and is second on the team in kills with 67, averaging 2.16 per set.
• Leah Causey and Sara Landis have a combined 68 total blocks. Causey leads the team with 36 and Landis is second on the team with 32 blocks.
THE COMPETITION
• UAB (6-5) won four straight matches in three sets before dropping its last game played against Jacksonville State in four sets.
• The Blazers are led by Erika Zemblya and Haley Jared who have a combined 247 kills. Zemblya has a team-high 127 kill and Jared is close behind with 120.
• UAB leads its competition in categories such as kills, assists and total blocks.
