Troy to Host Football Lettermen’s Reunion Weekend; Honor 2001 Team

TROY, Alabama – To help celebrate the start of the 2016 football season, Troy Athletics is hosting a Football Lettermen's Weekend for all former Troy football players and coaches around the Trojans' home opener on Sept. 3 against Austin Peay.
The reunion weekend will include dinner and an optional golf outing on Friday, Sept. 2, as well as brunch and a special tailgate party, hosted by the T Club, on Saturday, Sept. 3. All returning football letterwinners will be honored on field during halftime.
Returning members of the 2001 team will also be honored during the first half. The 2001 team, led by head coach Larry Blakeney, went 7-4 in Troy's first year as a NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision member. The season included a 21-9 win over Mississippi State as well as wins over future Sun Belt Conference foes North Texas and ULM.
Registration is required and can be completed online by clicking here. The cost of the weekend is $25 per adult and $15 per child (ages 3-17); this cost includes all meals, game tickets and events (except golf). The golf outing is $40.50 per player and will be paid directly to the Troy Country Club upon arrival.
