Troy Hands Out Top Honors at Trojan Tribute Award Show

TROY, Alabama – Awards for academics, athletic performance, best team and more were handed out Tuesday night at the second annual Trojan Tribute inside the Claudia Crosby Theater on Troy's campus.
The awards, which were based on the 2015 calendar year (Spring 2015, Fall 2015, Winter 2015-16), were voted on by members of Troy's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Trojan Tribute Senior Voting Committee.
"Congratulations to our award winners," Troy director of athletics Jeremy McClain said. "They are the essence of what it means to be Troy student-athletes, and their leadership on and off the field is to be commended.
"I also want to say thank you to our SAAC for putting on a great event. This event signals the culmination of a great year for Troy Athletics."
The women's basketball team took home the "T Time" Team Award after winning the Sun Belt Conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament. Male and Female Athlete of the Year honors went to Tolver Dozier (men's golf) and Corina Cox (track and field), while Wil Clowdus (men's golf) and Julia Ostendorf (cross country) took home the top academic awards.
