Troy Men’s Tennis Has Streak Snapped at No. 16 USF

TAMPA – The Troy men's tennis team saw its six-match winning streak snapped on Sunday against No. 16 USF, the hosts of the South Florida Spring Break Tournament.
Troy (10-11) started the tournament with two wins over ranked opponents, but couldn't grabbed a third against its toughest test. The Bulls (11-5) grabbed wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to grab the opening point.
USF then took a 2-0 lead with a win at No. 4, but Andy Lau quickly got Troy on the board with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Sebastien Butler at No. 6. Daniel Bustamante faced his toughest test of the season at No. 1 singles, falling to the nation's fourth-ranked player, Roberto Cid, to give USF a 3-1 lead.
The Bulls' Sasha Gozun then snapped Pablo Moreno's 11-match winning streak in the clinching match at No. 3 singles.
Troy returns to the court on Wednesday when it take on both Eastern Kentucky and Southern Illinois in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
