Troy Travels to Face Jacksonville

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's basketball team will put its five-game winning streak on the line as it travels to face defending Atlantic Sun Tournament champion Jacksonville at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Dolphins, also riding a five-game win streak, will rely on Sherranda Reddick, who leads the A-Sun and is 19^th in the NCAA with 20.6 points per contest. The senior is also averaging the sixth-most 3-pointers per game in the nation with 3.78. Last season, head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin led Jacksonville to its third-ever 20-win season and first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.

Troy (5-1) enters the game off to its best start since 1996-97 and has scorched opponents along the way. The Trojans' offense is 6^th in the nation averaging 88.7 points per game and the squad is tops in the NCAA in rebounds per contest (50.8). Jayla Chills, La'Tia Fils-Aime' and Claresa Banks are all averaging 11 or more points per game, while Banks and Fils-Aime' have scored in double-digit in each of the last four games.

As a team, the Trojans have scored 90-plus points in five straight games for the first time in program history and have scored 80-plus points 61 times under head coach Chanda Rigby.

NOTEWORTHY
• Troy has made 31 free throws in a game twice this season (Alabama State & Villanova). The program's Division I single-game record is 38.

• Against Alabama State, La'Tia Fils-Aime' became the second Trojan this season to make 10 or more free throws in a game. Claresa Banks scored 11 points from the free throw line against Villanova on Nov. 24.

• Troy set new Trojan Arena records with 43 free throw attempts and 56 rebounds against Alabama State.

• Amanda Mendoza ranks 1st in SBC and 13th in NCAA in assist/turnover ratio (3.60), just five turnovers on the season
