Fátima Fernández Cano Tabbed Sun Belt Women’s Golfer of the Week

TROY, Alabama – Reigning Sun Belt Women's Golfer of the Year Fátima Fernández Cano has been named the Sun Belt Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Cano tied for second place at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship last week in Troy's final tournament of the fall. The native of Santiago de Compostela, Spain shot even par over the 54 holes, including a 3-under 69 in the second round.

The Troy senior finished the fall with a 72.50 stroke average with three rounds par, two of which were in the 60s.
