Trojans Head To Birmingham In Fall Play

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – The Trojans are on the road once more in fall play with the Second Annual CBB Collegiate Invite Friday in Birmingham, Ala.
The invitational is hosted by UAB and held at the Birmingham Country Club Collegiate. There will be three 16-player singles draws and three eight-team doubles draws.
Troy is coming off a weekend that was filled with success as three out of five singles brackets were won by Troy.
Freshman Amer Bedwan, sophomore FIlip Mansson and junior Mustapha Belcora had perfect weekends to capture individual titles at the UNCC Fall Invitational.
Pablo Moreno and Andy Lau continued to thrive as a doubles pairing as the two upset No. 1 seeded Duke en route to winning a doubles draw last weekend.
Notable
• Bedwan is 9-4 since being inserted into the lineup in the second tournament of the season.
• Lau and Moreno are now 6-2 in fall play as a doubles pairing. They have won three in a row and five of the last six.
• After starting the season 3-4, Belcora has won his last five in a row to improve his singles record to 9-4.
