TROY, Alabama – Troy begins a two-game road swing to close out the regular season Saturday at Texas State. The Trojans head to San Marcos, Texas looking to bounce back from their first loss since the second week of the season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN3. The Troy Sports Radio Network will have coverage beginning at 1 p.m. on the full radio network and on TroyTrojans.com.
Â
Troy (8-2, 5-1 Sun Belt) became the first team in Sun Belt Conference history to open a season 8-1 and the first to ever appear in either the Associated Press or Coaches poll. However, Troy's seven-game winning streak came to an end last week against Arkansas State.
Â
The Trojans head into their final two games of the season looking to become the first 10-win team in Troy's FBS history. Additionally, Troy will be making its first bowl appearance since 2010, which will be the Trojans' sixth since 2004.
Â
Saturday's game will be the first meeting between the schools since 2013 and just the second in the past 15 years. Troy has won four straight games against Texas State, including a 42-28 victory in the lone meeting between the teams as Sun Belt Conference foes.
Â
Troy enters the weekend leading the Sun Belt in scoring (34.6) and total offense (452.8), while Brandon Silvers leads the league with 19 touchdown passes and Jordan Chunn has a Sun Belt best 10 rushing touchdowns.

Â
Texas State (2-8, 0-6) opened the season with a victory over an eight-win Ohio team, but have struggled since and enter Saturday's game with six-straight losses. First-year head coach Everett Withers noted this week that the Bobcats might shake up their lineup this week – Texas State is averaging 20.2 points per game while allowing 41.7 points per game.

"We made a point to grow closer as a team," Troy head coach Neal Brown said. "That has been one of our main points of emphasis. It is as good of a reason as any as to why we have had the big jump this year to one of the most improved teams in the country. This week allows you to rally the troops. It allows us to get together and have a lot of meals together. I like it, and this is a week that I always look forward to."
