Evan Crenshaw Named One of Ray’s 8 for Week 1

TROY, Ala. – Consensus Preseason All-American and 2025 Ray Guy Finalist Evan Crenshaw picked up where he left off last season, earning a spot on the initial Ray Guy Award Ray's 8 for his performance against Sam Houston.

Crenshaw, who earned Sporting News and FWAA First Team All-America honors last season, punted eight times in Troy's victory over Sam Houston, with four traveling 50-plus yards and five of his punts downed inside the 20-yard line.

The Sun Belt Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year averaged 46.9 yards on his eight kicks, raising his career average to 45.79 yards per punt, the best in school history.

Crenshaw was twice named to Ray's 8 last season and was named the Ray Guy National Punter of the Week for his work against Buffalo.

Troy hosts Alabama State on Saturday; kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at The Vet.
