Cano Finishes Second, Troy Places Fourth at Idle Hour Collegiate Championship

Final Results
MACON, Georgia -- Fátima Fernandez Cano finished in a tie for second place to lead Troy to a fourth-place overall finish as play concluded Tuesday at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship.
Mercer rallied to win the team title by one shot over Toledo and Southern Miss, while the Trojans, who led heading into the final day, finished three shots off the pace.
Cano fired a 2-over 74 with a pair of birdies in her round to close out the event at even par over the three rounds. She finished three shots behind individual medalist Mary Joiner from Western Kentucky.
Becca Horner finished in a tie for 17th for the Trojans after shooting a 7-over 79 on Tuesday, while Gabi Oubre' tied for 21st place after shooting a 3-over 75 in the final round. Bianca Lohbauer and Lindsey Harrison both shot a 5-over 77 in the final round and finished tied for 31st and 53rd, respectively. Competing as individuals, Antonia Poate tied for 60th and Bria Jansen tied for 63rd.
The Trojans have completed their fall schedule and will return to action Feb. 26-28 at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate.
