KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Troy women's golf team wrapped up play at the Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Turtle Point Golf Course as the Trojans finished the 20-team event in 13th place.
The Trojans shot 25-over par on the day led by a 4-over 76 from Fátima Fernandez Cano, who was Troy's top finisher as she tied for 19th place. Cano opened her round with a birdie and added her second birdie on her second-to-last hole of the day; she finished the tournament at 8-over par.
Bianca Lohbauer and Becca Horner tied for 40th and 44th place, respectively, for the Trojans. Lohbauer shot an 8-over 80 on the day and finished at 12-over for the tournament, while Horner carded four straight birdies to shoot her best round of the week with a 3-over 75.
Lindsey Harrison and Gabi Oubre' rounded out the field for the Trojans in a tie for 88th and 93rd place, respectively. Harrison shot 12-over in the final round, while Oubre' was 14-over on the day.
Campbell jumped a pair of spots to claim the team title by two shots over Coastal Carolina, while Ole Miss' Katy Harris claimed individual medalist honors.
The Trojans are back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship hosted by Mercer.
