Lohbauer, Cano in Top 20 Following Two Rounds of Palmetto Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Troy women's golf team dropped a spot into 12th place following Monday's second round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Turtle Point Golf Course.
 
Fátima Fernández Cano and Bianca Lohbauer are tied for 19th place to lead the Trojans. Lohbauer had the low round of the day for Troy as she carded a 1-over 73 as she blitzed the course for five birdies. Troy opened the round on the 10th hole and Lohbauer made the turn at 2-over following a triple-bogey and a birdie. She made four of her five birdies following the turn, including on two of her final three holes.
 
Cano matched her opening round 74 in Monday's second round as she carded three birdies on the day. Cano and Lohbauer are within striking distance of quality finishes as they are just five shots behind a group of four golfers tied for second.
 
Becca Horner shot 6-over on the day and is tied for 52nd place following a round that featured three birdies, while Gabi Oubre' sank a pair of birdies and climbed seven spots into a tie for 79th following a round of 79. Lindsey Harrison also climbed the leaderboard as she jumped 10 spots into a tie for 85th after shooting a 6-over.
 
Coastal Carolina leapfrogged Ole Miss into the individual lead and will carry a six shot lead over the Rebels into Tuesday's final round.
 
The final round gets underway at 7:30 am (CDT) with a shotgun start.
