Guardian Credit Union Partners with Troy Athletics

TROY, Alabama – The Troy University Athletics Department announced a new three-year partnership Friday, naming Guardian Credit Union as the "Official Credit Union of Troy Athletics" through the 2018 academic year. The sponsorship agreement will support all Troy student-athletes, competing across 16 men's and women's championship sports in the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference.

Guardian Credit Union, based in Montgomery, Ala., with tens of thousands of members served by 11 locations throughout the River Region, is ideally positioned to leverage the strong and growing regional affiliation with the Trojans.

"As the passion for Troy Athletics continues to rise across our community, so does the interest in partnering from local and regional corporations and non-profit service providers," Troy Interim Athletics Director Sandy Atkins said. "Guardian Credit Union invests in our community every day in many ways, and we are proud that they have stepped up significantly to invest in our student-athletes."

In addition to being named the "Official Credit Union of Troy Athletics," Guardian Credit Union will receive prominent visibility during football, basketball, baseball and softball games and radio broadcasts, as well as becoming the title sponsor of the student section in Veterans Memorial Stadium.
