Corina Cox Heads to Track Town USA to Compete at NCAA Championship

EUGENE, Oregon – Corina Cox will be representing Troy at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the discus throw on Saturday at 11:35 a.m. CT Hayward Field.

The Sun Belt Second Team member finished sixth as she shattered her previous personal record with a 53.78-meter toss at the NCAA Eastern Regional to earn a spot at Nationals.

Cox will be throwing in the second heat in the 11^th slot. The Los Fresnos, Texas, native is the lone Sun Belt athlete competing in the event.

First-Team All-America honors are awarded to those who finished among the top eight in an individual or relay event as part of a team; Second-Team All-America honors are given to those who finished between ninth and 16^th.
