Twenty-Five Troy Student-Athletes Receive Diplomas Friday

TROY, Alabama – Twenty-five Troy University student-athletes won the ultimate championship Friday when they received their diplomas at Troy's 2015 Spring Commencement ceremonies in Trojan Arena.

Almost half of the graduating student-athletes graduated with honors as 10 Trojans walked with Cum Laude (3.40-3.59 GPA), Magna Cum Laude (3.60-3.79 GPA) or Summa Cum Laude (3.80-4.00 GPA) recognition.

Troy's student-athletes joined a group of more than 880 students representing 29 states and 13 countries who received their diplomas from Troy University on Friday.

Mac-Jane Chukwu, a graduate student in International Relations with a focus in National Security Affairs from Lagos, Nigeria and author of "Open Secret" and "My Father's Girlfriend," delivered the keynote address. Named Troy's Most Outstanding Woman for 2015, Chukwu hopes to become the first female and youngest president of Nigeria.
