Troy to Wrap Football Spring Practice Saturday with T-Day

TROY, Alabama – The first spring practice under head coach Neal Brown will come to its culmination Saturday as Troy will host its annual T-Day Spring Game beginning with Trojan Walk at 11 a.m. and kickoff to follow at 11:30 a.m. Additionally, all former student-athletes are invited to a special tailgate party in Tailgate Terrace beginning at 10:30 a.m.

"I want our kids to go out and enjoy the opportunity to compete in front of a crowd," Brown said. "I want to present well to our fans, I want to present well to our students, and I think we'll have a really good turnout. I want our guys to go out and play and have fun. I thought they did a nice job of that last Friday – I thought they had some joy in playing."

The Trojans will split into two teams with the first team offense paired with the second team defense, while the first team defense will be teamed with the second team offense. Regular scoring will be in place for T-Day with slightly altered timing rules.

"We want the fans to know that this is their team," Brown said. "This is Troy University's team. This is our student body's team. If you have a degree from here, this is your team. If you're a citizen of Troy or Pike County, this is your team. We're going to do our best to make Saturday as entertaining as we can and we need everyone's support.

"We are talking about rebuilding the wall and part of that is reclaiming home-field advantage and making this the toughest place to play in the Sun Belt, and to that we have to create energy. T-Day is our first opportunity as a fan base and as a football team to create that type of energy in the stadium."

Fans will have the chance to select their seats for the 2015 season as ticket office representatives will be in the stands Saturday and available seats will be specially marked.

Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to stock up on the latest Trojan gear from the ScreenTech store as they will be offering a T-Day sale. The sale will feature a large selection of caps, tee shirts, polo's and autograph footballs. Buy any item and get any other item of equal or lesser value absolutely FREE. ScreenTech will be located on the main concourse on the press box side of the stadium and will be open throughout the game.
