Â
TROY, Alabama – Thirteen former Troy football players and several players from other area schools worked out for 13 NFL and CFL scouts Monday at Troy's annual Pro Day at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Â
Players took the Wonderlic Test and were measured for height and weight before the physical tests, which included the vertical jump, broad jump, 225-pound bench press, 40-yard dash, shuttle run and three-cone drill.
Â
Wide receiver Chandler Worthy was the star of the day as he posted a pair of 4.34 40-yard dash times despite wet conditions as a light rain fell all morning in Troy. Worthy, a native of Griffin, Ga., also recorded a 39.5-inch vertical jump, 11-foot-5 broad jump, 17 reps on the bench press and a 4.04 shuttle drill. All of Worthy's marks Monday were better than the average marks of the wide receivers at the NFL Combine a few weeks ago.
Â
Defensive tackle Billy Dobbs posted the most bench press reps with 23, while offensive lineman Terrence Jones and cornerback Ethan Davis finished with 22 reps and defensive end Brandon Timmons posted 21 reps. Davis also showed off in the broad jump as he posted the second best jump of the day with a mark of 10-foot-3.
Â
Worthy's vertical was the best of the day followed by marks of 35.5 from Femi Odaibo and B.J. Chitty, while Khary Franklin and Jazquez Young both ran a 4.59 40-yard dash.Â
