Troy Golf Leading the Sun Belt in Latest Rankings

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's and women's golf teams both garner the highest ranking in the Sun Belt Conference in the latest Golfstat National Rankings released Wednesday. The Troy men are current ranked 45th while the Troy women are 84th nationally.
On the men's side, five Trojans are ranked among the top 17 in the Golfstat Player Head-to-Head Rankings. No other school has more than three players ranked among the top 17, in fact Georgia State is the next closest school with its top five players all ranked in the top 30.
Jake Tucker is the second ranked player in the league (No. 216) behind only No. 30 Scott Wolfes from Georgia Southern. Tucker is fourth in the head-to-head rankings, while Jared Bettcher (6th), Phillip Brennan (13th), Tolver Dozier (14th) and Luke Moser (17th) round out the top 17 for the Trojans.
Troy's Fátima Fernández Cano is the top-ranked women's golfer in the Sun Belt and among the top 200 players in the country. Langley Vannoy (7th) and Taylor McGraw (10th) are also in the top 10 in the Sun Belt, while Sydney Conrad ranks 15th and Becca Horner checks in at 21st.
Troy is the only school with all five players ranked in the top 21 in the league, the next closest school is Texas State with five ranked in the top 23.
The women have one tournament remaining before the Sun Belt Conference Championships, while the men will play in two more events before the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
