Troy Offering Free Fan Bus to WBI First Round

TROY, Alabama – Troy Athletics and the Troy University SGA are offering fans a free trip to Macon, Ga., on Thursday to watch the Troy women's basketball team take on Mercer in the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI).
The trip includes a free bus ride to Mercer, free ticket to the game, free T-shirt and pom-poms. Troy head coach Chanda Rigby will also provide pizza and drinks to fans following the game.
The bus will depart from Trojan Arena at 2 p.m. CT on Thursday. Fans have until 11 a.m. CT on Thursday to sign up for the trip. To sign up, visit Trojan Center Room 215.
Troy and Mercer will tip off at 6 p.m. CT in what will be the Trojans' second postseason appearance in the program's 40-year history. The Trojans come in having won eight of their last nine matches and leading the Sun Belt in scoring.
The winner of Thursday night's game will move on to face the winner of Northern Kentucky and Marshall. If Northern Kentucky wins, Troy will travel this weekend for a second round match. However, if Marshall wins, Troy will host the Thundering Herd this weekend.
