TROY, Alabama – Troy offensive lineman Terrence Jones has been selected to play in the Medal of Honor Bowl on January 10 in Charleston, S.C. Kickoff from Johnson Hagood Stadium on the campus of The Citadel is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., and the game will be televised live by NBC Sports.
Jones earned second team All-Sun Belt Conference honors this season as he did not allow a sack and graded out at over 92 percent for the year. The Huntsville, Ala., native finished his Troy tenure with 44 starts, including 42 straight to close out his career. Jones finished the year with 16.5 knockdown blocks and led an offensive line that protected for NCAA record-setting quarterback Brandon Silvers (completion percentage by a freshman, 70.5%). Jones was a first team All-Sun Belt selection following his junior season.
Jones will be a member of the American Team, which will be coached by College Football Hall of Fame member and former South Carolina State head coach Willie Jeffries. Troy University Sports Hall of Fame inductee Chan Gailey will coach the National Team.
