Trojans in the NFL - Week 1

TroyTrojans.com will take a look at how former Troy football players performed in each week in the NFL. Currently, 10 former Trojans are on active NFL rosters, which is the most of any team in the Sun Belt Conference.

Mario Addison, Carolina Panthers – Saw action in Carolina's 20-14 victory at Tampa Bay.
Â
DuJuan Harris, Green Bay Packers – Had one carry for seven yards in Green Bay's season-opening loss at Seattle.
Â
Jerrel Jernigan, New York Giants – Had four catches for 25 yards in the Giants loss at Detroit. Also picked up his fourth career rushing attempt and fourth career tackle.

Elbert Mack, Houston Texans – Came up with one tackle in Houston's 17-6 victory over Washington.
Â
Jonathan Massaquoi, Atlanta Falcons – Credited with a pair of tackles in Atlanta's come-from-behind victory over New Orleans in overtime.
Â
Leodis McKelvin, Buffalo Bills – Finished with a game-high 13 tackles in Buffalo's 23-20 overtime victory at Chicago; tackle total was good for fourth best in the NFL. Forced a fumble early in the second quarter that led to a Bills field goal. Also returned a punt for 14 yards.

Steve McLendon, Pittsburgh Steelers – Picked up three tackles in the Steelers 30-27 victory over Cleveland. Made back-to-back stops on a Cleveland drive in the second quarter and had a tackle for loss late in the third quarter.

Brynden Trawick, Baltimore Ravens – Saw action in Baltimore's loss to Cincinnati.
Â
Osi Umenyiora, Atlanta Falcons – Made a pair of tackles in Atlanta's come-from-behind victory over New Orleans in overtime.

DeMarcus Ware, Denver Broncos – Had a big impact in his Denver debut with 1.5 sacks in the Broncos' 31-24 victory over the Colts. Credited with half a sack midway through the second quarter to shutdown an Indianapolis drive which led to a Denver touchdown. Sacked Andrew Luck on 3rd-and-goal from the 6-yard line forcing a Colts field goal.
