Huynh, Dias Enter Fall Season Regionally Ranked

SKILLMAN, New Jersey – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently announced its final rankings with a pair of Trojans among the Southern Region singles rankings.

Trang Huynh finished at No. 15 in the ITA's Southern Region women's singles rankings. The rising junior posted an 18-4 singles record in 2013-14 and was named to the All-Sun Belt singles first team.

Playing in the No. 1 spot in Troy's lineup, Huynh closed the regular season on a 10-match winning streak while two of her four losses on the season came to national-ranked opponents. She also won three Sun Belt Athlete of the Week awards during the season.

Gabriel Sciacca Dias finished the 2013-14 season at No. 19 in the ITA's Southern Region men's singles rankings. The rising junior posted a 14-9 singles record in 2013-14 and was named to the All-Sun Belt singles first team.

Dias posted two wins over ranked opponents including one in the final week of the season over No. 80 Chris Helliar of UAB. Dias closed the regular season with six straight wins and wins in 10 of 11.

Both teams open their fall season on September 19-21 when they host the Troy Fall Invitational at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
