Final Results
MOBILE, Ala. – Led by a pair of top 10 finishes from Fátima Fernández Cano and Taylor McGraw, the Troy women's golf team finished in fourth place at the USA Women's Invitational at the Azalea City Golf Course in Mobile, Ala.
Cano finished in a three-way tie for third place after shooting 7-over for the three rounds. The true freshman, who was tabbed as the best freshman in the Sun Belt Conference by Golf Week heading into the spring, finished her tournament with a 5-over 77 on Tuesday.
McGraw tied for seventh overall with a solid three-round score of 225 (9-over) following a 76 on Tuesday. She carded five birdies during the tournament, which was the most by a Trojan golfer.
Brooke Spinks ended her two days in Mobile on a high note as she fired a 2-over 74, which was five shots better than her opening round. Spinks tied for 29th place, while Langley Vannoy tied for 37th and Becca Horner tied for 41st place. Playing as an individual, Sydney Conard tied for 27th place after shooting a 234 (79-74-81).
The Trojans return to the links on March 2-4 for the Edwin Watts Kiawah Spring Classic in Kiawah Island, S.C.
