Men’s Hoops Returns Home to Face Georgia State on ESPN2

TROY, Ala. – Troy men's basketball returns to the friendly confines of Trojan Arena to take on Sun Belt leaders Georgia State at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
The #NOLABound Trailgate Tour will also be taking place on Saturday. The tailgate begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be located in the practice gym of Trojan Arena.

Troy (8-15, 3-8 SBC) fell at Western Kentucky on Thursday night, 76-81. The Trojans trailed by 13 points with less than two minutes to play but used a furious rally to cut the lead down to just four points in the final minute.
The Trojans are led by senior Hunter Williams at 12.8 points per game. Williams has hit 13 3-pointers in the last two games. Kevin Thomas is Troy's top rebounder at 7.5 boards per contest.
Georgia State (17-6, 10-0 SBC) enters the game having won 14 straight. The Panthers' game on Thursday night against Texas State was postponed due to weather.
The Panthers are led by R.J. Hunter at 19.9 points per game. Ryan Harrow is close behind at 17.9 points per contest, while Manny Atkins and Devonta White are also scoring in double figures.
Troy lost at Georgia State to open up conference play in January, 72-81. Williams led Troy with 18 points, while Thomas recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Troy is 18-16 all-time against Georgia State. Neither team has won consecutive games in the series in nearly a decade.
